All trains between Gillingham and Waterloo, in either direction, take about two hours. Gillingham to Exeter is around an hour and twenty-five minutes. For the company’s full timetable for this line click here; trains on their Waterloo to Bristol service are at the very end of that timetable, pages 15 and 16.

Services at this station are now provided by South Western Railway, who are clearly keeping the old timetable for the time being, perhaps even until next May.


Trains to London Waterloo, coming from Exeter

Monday to Friday: For the morning rush there are trains roughly half-hourly from 0536, then hourly from 0851 until late evening, arriving at Waterloo at 49 minutes past the hour

Saturday: Three trains at intervals from 0642, then hourly from 0851 until late evening, arriving at Waterloo at 49 minutes past the hour

Sunday:  Hourly from 0754 until late evening, with two extra trains starting from Gillingham at 1621 and 1721


Trains from London Waterloo, going on to Exeter

Monday to Friday:  0710, then hourly from 0820 until late evening, arriving  at Gillingham at 17 minutes past the hour; extra trains in the afternoons leaving Waterloo at 50 minutes past the hour    

Saturday: 0710, then hourly from 0820 until 2020, arriving  at Gillingham at 17 minutes past the hour

Sunday: Hourly from 0815 until 2115, arriving at Gillingham  at 21 minutes past the hour
